'In many of my photographs, I am often drawn to man made objects in the landscape and how they interact with the natural environment over time. To make a photograph I find that I am forced to focus my senses - to stop, stand and wait for a time. You have to absorb what you see around you, what exists on the land, sea and sky, then use that knowledge along with contemporary thinking to interpret what you see. In my work I wish to return to a point where the interplay of light and dark reveals form at its simplest and in this way capture the richness of a place or space.'
